Art Inspired By Nature
Art is at its most powerful when it carries a message.
The combination of beautiful aesthetic and a call for social engagement creates an emotional impact. Such are my works of art.
I am a Dallas based professional contemporary artist, environmentalist, humanitarian and pilot. I have been a professional artist since 1998, curating my art to private collectors, galleries, the design trade, corporate collections and public art.
I love to tell visual narratives of our relationships with nature and life through realistic, atmospheric and abstract oil and acrylic paintings. Connecting people to nature through my art is my inspiration. The colors and textures I see in outdoor spaces, plants and wildlife guide me as I work. I cannot remember a time in my life where I did not paint or draw. I won my first art award when I was 5 years old for an abstract finger painting on paper. My journey as an artist has evolved over many years. I start a piece focusing on what I love, live, see and also what touches my soul is transcribed emotionally through my paintings.
Painting moods, places & life experiences through my artworks encompass powerful emotions.
I paint on a daily basis from my Dallas studio and gallery on Dragon Street in the epicenter of contemporary art in the city of Dallas.
My paintings have been exhibited in museums, galleries, colleges and are part of permanent public art collections and private collections.

I will be releasing my Ark Series of paintings on April 15, 2020 and I cannot wait to share these paintings with you!
In 2015, I read the book the Sixth Extinction and after doing so I began to design renderings for paintings featuring endangered and extinct wildlife. At the time, I was using Hermes scarf backgrounds in another series, my H3 Series. I was inspired to use scarf patterns after seeing a Keyande Wiley exhibition at the Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. I loved how he used fabric patterns behind his subjects. I use these scarf designs because I love fashion and also as a way to represent the relationships between man and wildlife. I like to use symbolism in my art and you will be seeing a lot of it in this series.
